I leave for Ireland in less than 2 weeks!!!!! I'm at the point now where it seems weird that it's finally here because I've been preparing for it for so long. I'm also trying to find the time to get everything finished for Christmas (which is closer than I care to think), finish up an online American Lit class (I meant to have it finished this summer...oops), and pack for Ireland. I may have to work on my time management skills!
I found out today where I'll be living in Galway - It's an apartment complex called Gort na Coiribe, and it's only about 15 minutes from the campus and really close to the city center so it's in a really good location where I won't have to spend a lot of money on public transportation.
I hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a happy new year!!

Study Abroad Blog

Hello everyone! I have decided that since some people don't have Facebook (*cough* Ashley *cough*) that creating a blog will be the easiest way to keep in touch with everybody. I will leave for Galway, Ireland, on January 3rd - that's 2 weeks and 2 days from now!!! I'll be studying history at the National University of Ireland, Galway until May 23rd. On May 25th, my parents will be bringing a group over for a tour of Ireland that will last 12 days! (If anyone is interested in coming on this trip, let me know, and I will have my mom send you some information!)
I am so excited to go to Ireland! I went with Baker's band, choir, and orchestra last January for a 2 week tour of Ireland and England. I had been planning on studying in London, but I fell in love with Ireland! Galway's also a better fit for me than London because it's not as big and I don't think I would freak out as much over moving to Galway for almost five months. I'm coming up with quite the 'to do' list for before I leave - so much to do so little time!
